<1> Dangdo (당도)
I would love to try their unique gelato ice cream flavors when the weather gets warmer. In their recent Instagram posts (March 2019), they have had 참외 (Korean melon), hojicha (Japanese green tea), lotus, salt, basil milk, rice, Gapyeong pine nuts, matcha red bean, basil tomato, and black rice. Make sure to check their official Instagram account to see which flavors are available that day!
You can choose two flavors in a cup or cone for 3,900 KRW.
<2> Atmosphere (엣모스피어)
Their character macaroons are so cute! Looks like they take whole cake reservations as well. I’m assuming that I’ll have to visit them as soon as they open if I want to get my favorite characters.
Their tempura bowl menu has seasonal specials so if you like that first bowl, you may end up visiting them for every season of the year. If you go now, you can try their spring tempura bowl. Go early when you go there on weekends, because they can either have two hour lines or be completely sold out.
<4> Five Days a Week (주오일식당)
Their plates are so cute and their food looks healthy and delicious…! Their chicken shrimp combo and the butter chicken curry seems to be the most popular menu. They were introduced on the popular Korean foodie show “수요미식회” so you might have to wait in line for an hour.
<5>Taeyang Sikdang (태양식당)
I think I’ll definitely be ordering the avocado yukhoe bibimbap! I also want to try the garlic shrimp plate because a lot of bloggers seem to be ordering that dish. Comments on Instagram say that the wait could be an hour or so.
<6> Bali in Mangwon (발리인망원)
I’ve never really had Indonesian food before so I’m curious about what it tastes like! I would like to try the mie goreng and green curry.
<7> From Hanoi (프롬하노이)
Vietnamese food is getting popular in Korea these days, but sometimes they seem too Koreanized to me. Since this Vietnamese restaurant has bánh xèo, which is not always available in those franchise restaurants, I want to give it a try!
Looking forward to my next visit to 망리단길 (Magnidan-gil)! Keeping in mind that I should definitely go early on weekends to try to avoid long waits.
