Majo&Sady facts: Majo is the brown bear in glasses, and he is the house-husband. Sady is the white rabbit, and she is the bread-winner of the household. They have one son and two cats. It is rumored that the name Majo comes from masochism and Sady comes from sadism.
Cafe Majo&Sady: This is a chain with currently four locations. Two in Seoul and two in Jeonju. The first store in Shinsa/Apgujeong opened in August 2013, and the third store in Dongdaemun opened in June 2014. You can find detailed information about the locations and menu on the official website.
How to get to the Dongdaemun Location:
Go to Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station and walk out of exit 3. You will see the cafe on the other side of the street from the exit.
Make a left to take the crosswalk to get to the other side.
Walk past the right side of the Gwanghwamun Gate. You’ll see the cafe in a few seconds.

Delicious cookies for 800 KRW each.
Cute, but unfortunately watered down Sweet Potato Latte. I can’t recommend it… but they also have unique flavors like Melon Latte and Cheese Latte, so maybe you can just try it.
I can recommend the pancakes! Served with frozen berries, fresh banana slices, and maple syrup.
There’s a small corner of goodies. There are plushies, notebooks, backpacks, snapbacks, beauty products (moisturizing mist and cream, face masks, etc.), soap, and car stickers.
Cute USB memory sticks
Here is a virtual tour through Cafe Majo & Sady.
Here’s a wifi-password for those who missed it.
This guy suggests taking the elevator to get to the second floor, but that is totally unnecessary… You can get there by stairs.
If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to take a picture with this big Majo! When I went there, there were other customers sitting at this table, so I couldn’t do much.
He wants you…
Welcome to the bathroom.
The next time you’re in Dongdaemun, you can go to this cafe to accompany this lonely guy at an empty table.
